Galangal #1, the river one must cross, digital zine in English, 20 pages.

Galangal is a digital series from The Hall of Uselessness featuring two or more creators in conversation on an eclectic range of topics, exploring the possibilities of the dialogue form.

The first issue, the river one must cross, features Maddison Colvin and Daryl Li in an exchange that begins with rivers and meditates on writing, the failure of expression, and acts of storytelling.

Galangal is available on a pay-what-you-want basis with no minimum. That is, you can get it entirely for free! Any donations will go entirely towards operating and production costs, and future projects under the Hall of Uselessness banner, so do consider supporting us that way if you like our work.

About the Creators

Daryl Li originated this unfortunate project and is involved in most of them. He is a writer and editor based in Singapore, with interests in film, games, and music. He has some website at daryl.li.

Maddison Colvin is an artist and all-around amateur based in the USA. She designs for Galangal and writes a lot of emails. Her work can be found at maddisoncolvin.com.
